New born child, monument of innocence
Tabula Rasa, no trace of any god
Soon it will learn all the myths of its people
Soon it will learn who to love and who to hate (Who to hate)
Growing up, learns to kneel and pray
Baptized and raised in the name of the lord
Soon it will learn how to fight for its people
Soon it will learn how to fight and how to hate (How to hate)
Go retrieve the promised land once lost
Crusaders cross all borders, spread the word (The holy word)
A holy god destroys their temples, steals their fate
Cause they’ve listened to the wrong gods for too long (Way too long)
Allah is the mighty god and we are the chosen ones
This is our promised land, so go!
God bless my country and my war, that is what we’re fighting for
You know we are the chosen ones, so go!
Allah is the mighty god and we are the chosen ones
Bless my country and my war, that’s what we are fighting for
Let me go, take a breath, your truth not mine
Wanting love, need no lies, let me speak out and be like a child
Let us all, live in peace, and set aside, the years of pain
Real love, start us to praise, all one on earth, let’s keep that in mind
Ohh oh ohhhh ohh ohhhh oh ohhhhh
-- Narration ---
There’s a football game on the tele. Little men in uniform sinking on their knees to pray to their god. The shirts are red, the trousers white. On the other side of the same field, same sort little man with long socks, blue shirts and black shorts are kneeling for their lord. All 22 men are praying to the same god to help them win this game. If this god exists, if this god cares about football and if this god has nothing better to do with his time.
If indeed he has nothing better to do than to watch this game and make some legs run a little faster, make some feet kick a little harder and make the goalkeeper’s arms stretch a little longer so he can get a hold of more balls, than I ask you this question: How does this god decide? Which team to unite? How does he choose? The ones who pray loudest? The ones that pray more in this example? The ones who are ready to die for their god? Silly, isn’t it? People walk and talk and play football in the name of their god. People suffer and kill in the name of their god. People live and die in the name of their god…
People are good at ignoring first to take blame
It's hard to believe it is not justice of faith
Don't keep on playing pretend, no
You pretend in the name of
Hide and seek in the name of your God
